Sunday Snapshot: Mount McKinley

Mount McKinley towers 20,237 feet above sea level making it the highest peak in North America. As the most prominent attraction in Denali National Park, it was of the upmost importance to get a glimpse of it during my stay in Alaska. However, it is estimated that due to the weather, only one in three visitors are able to view the entire mountain. Chances of a partial view are slightly higher at 40%, but luckily I visited on a beautiful, clear June morning and had unobstructed views of Mount McKinley.

  1. Such a beautiful picture … the weather must have known you would use the photo for a Sunday Snapshot so they knew they had to make the weather perfect!
